LiveWire are an exciting and dynamic function/party band from Newcastle upon Tyne who have been going down a storm everywhere they’ve played since their conception three years ago, this is simply because as they put it - ‘never have a dull moment when on stage’. The most popular and versatile line-up is a six-piece, which features Female Lead Vocals, Keys, Guitar, Bass, Drums and Trumpet, including at least three members who double on Male Lead or Backing Vocals for any one gig.

LiveWire’s easy handling of their widely varied repertoire has enabled them to be able to play in a number of high profile situations, supporting the likes of ‘Girls Aloud’ and ‘Liberty X’, for events such as: Weddings (Nationally), Corporate Events (Proctor and Gamble, Northern Rock, Genie UK), Charity Balls (Princes Trust, Rainbow Trust, Holly Ball), Night Clubs (‘Tiger Tiger’ / ‘Mr Lynch’), Casino (Aspers), Cruise Ships (Some of our players have often been called in for comedian ‘Paul Squires’ backing band on P&O etc), Clubs, Pubs, Private Parties, Army bash’s (TA), Village Balls, University Balls (Dentists Ball) in a wide range of venues from hotels to football stadiums.

What’s interesting to know is that this highly professional band besides the fact they have individually and collectively worked throughout the British Isles, Europe and the United States with an array of talented artists including Brian Johnson (ACDC), Tim Healy, Marcus Roberts, Brendan Healy, Denise Welch, Frankie Gibbon of Lindisfarne whilst building up enviable reputations as some of the most talented and reliable musicians in the UK, appearing on TV and Radio, is that they have an average age of just 24!
