A nine year olds review of Mcfly at Sherwood Pines (and Sheffield Arena)

A bit of a different blog today specialy written by my 9 year old daughter for all the Mcfy fans out there.

Hi I’m Eve,  I am 9 and I am a big, big fan of Mcfly. I’ am going to tell you about me going to see  Mcfly. I went to  and see them in Sheffield arena on a Friday ages ago. If your coming from some where like Mansfield you might get stuck in Friday work traffic. When you get  there, there are food places like KFC round about 2 minutes away. When you go in the arena there are big queues for getting Mcfly stuff and  giving people your tickets. In the arena there are people giving you help to get to your seats and when the lights go out, about three support acts come on and sing you three to four songs and then there was a count down for Mcfly to come on stage but they don’t just come on like no normal bands no, no, no they sing when their not on stage for people to think where are they. When they get on stage and finish their song they talk to the crowd for 2 minutes or so and say what their next song is and start, but when they sing they don’t just stand there singing they jump around shaking their hair about very crazy{if you know what I mean.}

 

Last night I went to see them at Sherwood pines and there was 1 support act called Vagabond, the singer was very good but I thought his hair was going to come off. After the support act there was about 10 songs then it went quiet for 1minute so everyone was cheering because they thought they were going to come on but another song came on. When they came on they sang “One for the radio.”  After they sang it they did “Everybody Knows” and everyone was singing to every single song.After they sang that song they stopped and made a few jokes. People were throwing sandwiches, baby wipes, bracelets, straws and toilet rolls (its good that they didn’t sing Broccoli or they might have got Broccoli thrown at them.)

They sang its all about you and you know how it is on the advert for DFS for double discount…they made a joke that they didn’t get double discount. They are very funny.

At the end of the Mcfly show they threw a towel, two bottles of water and Harry’s drumsticks out into the audience (I wish I had got something!)

If Mcfly are coming to your town make sure you get tickets I have seen them three times and they are Mctastic!

Bit of a random post today.

 

 

A family friend who I have known for over ten years has a little boy who is always fantasticaly well dressed.Dressed in T shirts which I covett.Dressed in jeans which I envy.Dressed in hats which my missus looks at and says “I wish I had a hat like that.”

 

In short he’s the best dressed kid on the block…….and he’s only three.

 

His Mum tells me that the clothes the little fellow wears are not available in my size (and that I should grow up!!) Hi Alex, We had a great night for Dunc’s 50th, the band were excellent – couldn’t have picked a better bunch of guys, the music and atmosphere made it a night to remember.  We did cock up a bit with timings, bit pissed off with the venue manager actually because no one told us the music had to end at 11 so the band were cut off in their prime – had the woman liaised with either me or the band we could have timed it better, but apart from that small grumble, no other complaints.Thanks again for arranging the band for us, would love to do it all again but  money prevails!

We just wanted to thank you for last night. We had a perfect day and you guys finished it off fantastically. We expected you to be good, but not that good.

Everyone loved you. You even got my parents dancing and they haven’t danced since before I was born!! I’m told that at one point there was nobody in the bar and nobody sitting down – everyone was dancing!

You also helped settle an age old argument with my best man  – I’ve been telling him for years that Wonderwall and Boulevard of Broken Dreams are the same song.

All of our employees loved them!  The two hours they entertained us were

I just wanted to tell you how impressed we were with Toni and her band. Not only were they flexible and adaptable but professional and extremely friendly. Sometimes bands can be elitist but these guys were so nice and smiled and looked as though they were enjoying themselves which made myself and Steve feel at ease and i this reflected on our guests too. Toni had everyone up dancing and played exactly the right songs at the right time – even my 85 year old grandma was dancing!!
 
Everyone commented on how good they were and how amazing Toni’s voice is. We really couldn’t have asked for any better and we are so happy that we chose Toni. We will recommend them highly!!

Just a quick email to let you know that the entertainment at the Sgts’ Mess Ball last night was absolutely fantastic.

Electric Mayhem rocked! The crowd loved them and they played exactly the right set for the audience.

Scott was also fantastic and did a superb job. The dance floor was full from the beginning to the very end of the night!

I’m moving on from Chatham next year and I will pass on your details to who ever is organising the Ball at my new unit, your details will also be in the file produced from this years Ball.

Once again thanks for your help, the entertainment made it a great night and one to remember.

I almost missed your latest email, sorry about that. The guys have been really amazing and got the crowd cheering. Although the club’s PA is not great for live acts, their sound was a premium replica of U2’s live performances. You could realize that very well by listening them on the sound engineer’ headphones. I asked the club’s manager to check it out and he said he could have sworn he was listening to U2, hadn’t he known it was a tribute band on stage

I know this is really late but we really wanted to thank you for an awesome set at our Wedding in Ilkley on 21st June. It is a bit of a cliché but it really made the night one to remember. I think the difference was it felt much more of a party having a live band, and the choice and quality of songs was brilliant. We had a lot of comments from our friends (and parents friends importantly) how good the band was, in fact it took about an hour for one of our friends to stop talking about you (unfortunately it was a bloke). Would definitely recommend you and thanks for being so flexible on and before the big day.

Hi Alex. Just want to say a really big thank you to you guys for sorting out
Back2Funk for our wedding day. They were absolutely amazing really nice
bunch of people and they were very professional. We still can’t believe how
good they were. Other than us getting married they really made the day very
special for us. All i have had since we got back is people telling me how
good the day was and how amazing the band were and where did i find them. I
would say they are probably one of the best live bands i have ever seen and
heard! I’ve got nothing but love for those guys they were truly awesome and
i don’t think i have ever been to a wedding where everyone was up dancing
all night. I’d love to get hold of a CD with there music on so if you can do
anything that would be excellent. Well thanks again and i will definately
recommend you guys and the band to all our friends as i am the first of them
to get married i am sure there will be more business coming your way in the

We would like to let you know how pleased we were with the performance that  Roadster gave at our wedding on Saturday 23rd Aug at the Holiday Inn, Fareham.

The band were fantastic and really added to a making our day absolutely wonderful. We have had many comments about the band, all of which were extremely positive. Everyone thought they were great and that they really made the day even more special then it was. The fact that they were able to do our first dance made it even more wonderful.

We would like to thank the band for the amazing performance and for being part of making our day as fantastic as it was, apologies for not thanking them and saying goodbye on the night.

We look forward to seeing them again at some time in the near future.
