Michael Jackson Tributes From LMM
LMM have two great Michael Jackson Tribute acts out playing this evening.
Walkabout Liverpool is holding a major Halloween party and one of our Michael Jackson Tributes will be thrilling the audience at around 11pm tonight whilst over in Romania our other Michael Jackson Tribute will be performing for a family audience at a luxury shopping mall.
Whereever you are this Halloween hope you have a great time and get more treats than tricks.
Take That Tribute Bands For Hire
For everyone who managed to get Take That tickets this morning ….congratulations!!
If anyone has two spare at face value please call the office as our accounts person is gutted that she couldn’t get through and has finally given up to get on with work!!
For people like Alison who didn’t manage to get through and buy tickets fo the Take That tour I am posting this link to our Take That tributes….small consolation but there you go!

Calico Fever- Great Sheffield Band
Big thanks to Calico Fever who were good enough to allow LMM director Rick the opportunity to support them on Friday night at The Boardwalk in Sheffield.
The Boardwalk recently was voted the 4th best live venue in the world by readers of the NME and has seen some icons play there over the years including The Clash playing their first ever show (supporting the Sex Pistols no less.) Acts like Joe Cocker and Vinegar Joe with Elkie Brooks and Robert Palmer were regulars there in the 60s and in more recent times The Arctic Monkeys worked behind the bar!!
Other names to play there over the years include Robert Plant (led Zeppelin),Seasick Steve and Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople.)
The Boardwalk has a great stage and the sound quality both on and off stage is great so it was a perfect night to indulge in some on stage antics.
Friday saw Calico Fever playing their self penned country rock anthems and a couple of choice covers.As ever they delivered a great set to a packed house who all thoroughly enjoyed the band.
I supported the band with a set comprised of Guilty Pleasure covers and self penned songs including Mirror Cracked favourite “Totally Yours.”
At the end of the night I joined the band (who include Phil Staniland and Pete Hiley from the Mirror Cracked) to sing alongside Cracked sax player Vic Middleton.It was the first time all of us had been on stage together since the mid eighties…..a tremendous night of nostalgia for the boys!!
Thanks again for the opportunity of playing alongside you….looking forward to the next time.

LMM DJs Meeting At Temple Walkabout
Many thanks to the twenty two DJs who came to the LMM southern DJ meeting at Temple Walkabout yesterday.Your efforts in getting there from various parts of the South were much appreciated and your contributions to the meeting valued.

The Average Age Of The UK Bride
A major survey which published its findings this week announced that the average age of a bride is now 30 years old which I guess ties in wiith our experience dealing with bride and groom clients.
By lucky coincidence 30 is about the average age of the LMM band or DJ so we have many acts that are able to entertain this age group (and their parents/grand parents/nephews and neices etc.

LMM supply bands for Mini Festival
If you have seen the TV adverts for the new Mini Countryman car you might be interested to know that LMM supplied two bands for the launch of the car at a major Essex showroom.
Over a thousand guests enjoyed the sounds of our Beatles and ABBA Tribute at a “mini” festival organised to celebrate the car launch.
One Night Standeoke For Weddings
One of the nicest things to see on a Monday morning is an email or letter from a happy client.
The praise below was sent to us in the form of a mock up of Hello magazine which looks fantastic.The guys from One Night Standeoke had performed a Rockaoke/Bandeoke set at a wedding back in August and the letter has just arrived with us this weekend.
One Night Standeoke have a few dates left in 2010 including some dates over the Christmas period and we are taking bookings right now for 2011.
