One Night Standeoke-Rockaoke / Bandeoke Band

LMM have been booking karaoke with live musicians into events throughout the UK for nearly a decade now. We were the first company to bring the live karaoke band concept over from the USA where it had operated under a number of different names from Punk Rock Karaoke to Rock Star Karaoke through to Rockaoke.

Here in the UK Live Band Karaoke has also been known as Bandeoke. Whatever you call it we offer great quality musicians who will help your guests and yourselves become a rock star for the night and sing with a quality live band.

This Thursday Feb 2 2012 sees the start of a brand new live karaoke night in London. One Night Standeoke ,one of the very first Rockaoke bands in the UK, will be playing live at Temple Walkabout for the start of a residency which will allow singers to guest with an amazing live band. Anyone can attend and anyone can put their name down to sing. LMM will be there on the first night. Please join us for a night of bandeoke with one of our top Bandeoke bands.

Our live karaoke bands are available to hire for weddings, events, parties and club nights throughout the UK.

Walkabout

The newly refurbished Temple Walkabout got off to a flying start yesterday with queues around the block for the Australia Day celebrations. The LMM team had a great time and were also able to pop into Covent Garden where party duo Front Cover were rocking the house. Reports from around the rest of the Walkabout bars kept coming through during the night and it sounds like everyone had a brilliant time whether Ausssie by birth or just Aussie for the night!

Tonight at Temple Walkabout sees the launch of the Retro Fever night where DJ Mr T will be the host for a fun party night featuring the hits of the 90s/00s/80s and 70s. DJ Mr T will be well known to attendees of the popular Butlins Retro weekends where he entertains upwards of 2,500 people on Centre Stage.

Besides MR T we also have two of the UKs top tribute acts playing at Temple Walkabouts Retro Fever night this evening. Michael Jackson will be reprsented by Europes top tribute Navi and Robbie Williams will be in the house to entertain you.

The Beach Club bar will have a great set from Londons top female DJ, Amia.

Fire Breathers ,angle grinders and stilt walkers will be in the venue all evening.

Get down to Temple Walkabout for Retro Fever …it’s a packed evening of entertainment in a venue which will wow you from the moment you walk through the door.

Happy Australia Day UK

aussie flag

Happy Australia Day to all the Live Music Management Aussie party bands and party DJs and to our Australian mates at the Walkabout bars…it’s going to be an awesome day!

LMM have a long relationship with Australia.

Founding director Timbo is originaly from the Gold Coast and began his working life in the UK playing piano in the very first Walkabout bar way back in the 1990s. I myself first set foot in a Walkabout back in 1998 and by 1999 I was working at Live Music Management building up a UK wide roster of cover bands and club DJs to book into the expanding Walkabout chain. We oversaw the opening of fifty Walkabout bars in the 2000′s and to this day continue to supply live acts and DJs into these great bars.

In this time we have made some fantastic pals from down under. Many of them remain within this exciting bar chain whilst some have moved back home (we will never be without a place to stay if we go on holiday to Australia!)

There are a number of LMM DJs who had their lives dramaticaly changed by working at the Walkabout bars and we remember well DJs like Graham Pozzi (Glasgow Walkabout), Pete Holmes AKA DJ Ice (Oldham/Manchester Walkabout) , Matt Alcock (Derby Walkabout)and John E (Blackpool Walkabout) who have all moved to Australia after getting a taste for the country from working in Walkabouts.

I am writing this on Australia Day 2012 having just seen the amazing refurb of the Temple Walkabout and Beach Bar which brings the Walkabout brand up to date with a fresh look and feel for the 21st Century. I would like to wish the staff and team at Temple and at all the other Walkabouts around the UK a great Australia Day…it’s going to be a lot of fun.

PS. Did you know our connection with Australia even runs to supplying live entertainment to Australia House ? Just last week one of our Aussie DJs Yax Man DJed a swanky event there..the latest of

Party Planning

Party Planners

Party Planning

I had a great time on Saturday night organising the musical entertainment for a friend of mines 50th birthday party.

We gave it some serious thought in advance of the big day as the birthday boy is a massive music fan and we wanted to reflect his musical taste whilst at the same time not alienating the rest of the party guests.

I guess this is a challenge for all party planners.

The DJ music came from an Ipad plugged into the in house PA system with a playlist chosen by the birthday boy. For the rest of the evening we organised an acoustic set featuring two guitars and uke following by a short live band set. The acoustic set was designed to be upbeat but not too in your face and the band set was an opportunity for people to dance to a party band.

Besides this we had a special birthday treat up our sleeve with a piano / vocal medley which comprised seventeen songs sung in eight minutes covering all the key music which this music mad fifty year old has loved over the years. We handed out quiz sheets and the winner was the person who spotted the most artists and song tittles.

Surprisingly a few people got sixteen out of seventeen. The majority got about half of the songs but two guests spotted the little riff from New Orders Blue Monday which we sneaked in as a trick track and got the full compliment of seventeen out of seventeen.

It was a brilliant night and an honour to be asked. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff from Sheffields Dada Bar who were so helpful and Brandon for his work with the piano,Pete from Boy On A Dolphin, Phil from Calico Fever and Andy from Secret Sun. Also Bails from the Heavily Pregnant Brothers who kindly loaned us his PA and whose contribution was invaluable.

For information on how to book a band please give the LMM office a call.

Beatboxers For Hire

Friday, January 6th, 2012
Grace Beatboxer

Grace Beatboxer

Live Music Management are proud to represent two of the UK’s best Beatboxer acts.

What is beatboxing?

Beatboxing is an art form , vocal percussion and bass notes combining together to make a musical accompiment to singing or rapping or just to create it’s own street style music.

LMM have a brilliant female beatboxer who has recently featured in a major advertising campaign for I Love Apps and also appeared on Rufus Hounds Radio 4 show in a hilarious skit alongside Rufus. You can find details for Grace on her page on our main website in the unique acts for events section.

Bloxed are one of the UK’s top Beatboxer crews . Formed from the ashes of Crew 82 who are the only Beatboxing act to feature on Britains Got Talent (they eventually lost out in the live finals but not before wowing Simon Cowell and the Judges with their prowess.) This perfect beatbox collective are available for your next event.

A beat box act can make for great entertainment at an event and with some imagination we can create magic moments with our Beatboxers for parties

What about a pop up beat boxer at a corporate event?

The singing waiter is still a great surprise addition to a dinner event but it’s getting a little bit done to death. LMM bring the idea into the 21 st century with our pop up beatboxers

Call the LMM office for further ideas incorporating Beatboxing into your next event.
