Oasis Tribute Plays Show In Cyprus For Troops

Wednesday, April 24th, 2013

A few weeks ago one of our Oasis tribute bands The Oasis Tribute show went out to Cyprus for a show for the troops. Arriving back after a few great days they sent this message.

“Thanks for looking after us this weekend. We had a great gig and good few days. We got back on time, and got straight up to Worcester for
our Saturday night gig on time, bit tired but another good show.Lots of messages have been sent to us from your’e guys out
there that said they had a great night.”

It was a booking that they had really looked forward to and they have been buzzing ever since arriving back in the UK. The client gave great feedback about the lads performance on stage and off. The band had travelled to an audition night in order to get the show in the first place and were very pleased to have been chosen for the one off booking.

Oasis are , obviously, one of the great British bands and The Oasis Tribute show offer a realistic recreation of the Mad For It days of the 90s when Oasis were kings of the Britpop era. The Oasis sound and songs still resonate today and have a fantastic response when played by a DJ or a band at a wedding, party or event. Live Music Management are proud to offer several quality Oasis bands available to hire so whatever the date of your enquiry or no matter which part of the UK you are looking for then we will be able to assist by giving you the best Oasis tribute band option for your big night.

Britney Tribute Plays Circus

russells circus

russells circus

Last Thursday was a first for our Britney Spears tribute act and also for Live Music Management. Indeed we think it was a first for the entertainment industry all together. The Russell s International Circus booked our Britney Spears Tribute act to perform alongside circus acts at a circus spectacular which drew fantastic reviews from everyone involved. Besides the Rolling Stones Rock N Roll circus way back in the 1960s (which wasn’t a proper circus anyway) we are pretty certain that this style of evenings entertainment has never been done in the UK before.

Feedback from the Circus itself was brilliant

“Britney went really well! enjoyed by all! and Michaela was fantastic! She worked in so well with our acts and the whole show ran very smoothly.

Thanks for all your help,

Alex”

Michaela also had several comments left on her facebook profile from Britney Spears fans who had travelled to Norfolk to see her show.

“Never thought Britney would play in Sherringham and you were the next best thing!”

Jane.

“Had a great night out at the circus ….great show and brilliant music.”

The Dickinson Family.

We were thrilled to have been engaged for this performance and to have worked briefly for the circus thus fulfilling a childhood ambition and we look forward to the next circus show.

Book A David Bowie Tribute

Monday, January 14th, 2013

David Bowie made a surprise return to the music world last week with a single which seemed to appear out of nowhere and the announcement of a new album due later in the year. It was one of the PR coupes of the decade as noone in the media had any inkling that David Bowie would be back. It was widely thought that he had given up recording and quietly retired from the music scene. Bowies single “Where Are We Now” entered the UK chart at number 6 and gave him his first top ten hit in over ten years.

Now that Bowie is back there has never been a better time to book a David Bowie tribute. The Live Music Management David Bowie Tribute band are a fantastic recreation of the very best in Bowie music.

There are very few acts with a carear spanning five decades and David Bowie has an amazing back catalogue of hits stretching back to Space Oddity and moving across the classic seventies songs like Rebel Rebel, Changes , Suffragette City, Jean Genie,John I’m Only Dancing etc right through to later tracks like Heroes , Lets Dance, Fashion and Ashes to Ashes.

If you are looking to book a David Bowie Tribute act then the Live Music Management tribute is one of the very best in Europe and we are expecting his diary to get busier than ever with the current David Bowie fever which is sweeping the media.

The David Bowie Tribute show begins with the classic Ziggy Stardust era show with the big hits which Bowie played live during this period along with selected album tracks. The show features a full live band and the striking stage costumes made famous by the Ziggy era Bowie. The second half of the show moves into the Thin White Duke era with costume changes and music from the David Live album period before moving into the 80s New Romantic period songs like Blue Jean , Modern Love and China Girl.

When considering classic tribute acts David Bowie is sometimes forgotten but there really are very few artistes who have the impact on culture and indeed created as many memorable images and songs as the thin white duke. Live Music Management are taking bookings now for this great tribute act so if you are looking to book a David Bowie tribute then call the LMM office on 08454 900 515

Fifty Years Of The Beatles

Fifty years of The Beatles

Fifty years of The Beatles

It can’t have escaped any music lovers attention that we have now had fifty years of The Beatles .

Love Me Do was released on October 6 1962 and reached number seventeen in the charts. Within a year the whole landscape of pop and culture in the UK had been changed by The Beatles music and personalities. Over the next seven or so years until April 1970, when Paul McCartney announced he was leaving the band, The Beatles produced some of the most creative music ever recorded and wrote songs which have lived on and sound as fresh today as when they were committed to vinyl.

I recall working in a record store in 1987 when Sgt Pepper was celebrated with the tagline “It Was Twenty Years Ago Today.” Back in the late 80s the 1960s seemed an impossibly long time ago, another lifetime and yet here we are in the second decade of the twenty first century and about to embark on a similar celebration of the Beatles music and career.

Over the next decade there will be many landmark dates reflecting The Beatles remarkable carear and many opportunities to celebrate the bands achievements. Beatles Tributes will almost certainly have a bumper few years as anniversaries come and go and at Live Music Management we are proud to be able to offer the best in Beatles tribute bands suitable for any occasion from large event to small party or wedding.

If you are looking at a Beatles Tribute as wedding entertainment you might also want to consider one of the Live Music Maangement bands that play a mixed set of covers along with a set of Beatles songs dressed in full Beatles costume.

Hire a Beatles tribute act by calling 08454 900515 or emailing the office on info@lmmuk.com

Retro Fever Temple Walkabout

Wednesday, September 19th, 2012

Live Music Management love the video created by one of our DJs above which illustrates the great night you will have if you attend the Retro Fever night at Temple Walkabout down on the Thames Embankment.

There is always something happening down at the Walkabout and the first Friday in the month is especially exciting with guest tribute acts like Freddie Mercury , Britney Spears and Michael Jackson rocking the house.

The Freddie Mercury night on October 6  is going to be a blast with over 600 Freddie Mustaches being given away during the night. The atmosphere is bound to be a kinda magic (see what I did there?) Our Michael Jackson tribute will be playing down there on November 2 and this will tie in nicely with our Halloween theme and it’s going to be a Thriller of a show (hey there’s a theme repeating here!!)  The first Friday in December we have Britney Spears in the house and you will be able to  shout ”hit me baby one more time” for the best in retro action.

Live Music Management supply tribute bands and solo tributes to all kinds of events

Steps VS The Stone Roses-Which Band Is Best? The LMM Top Ten.

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

stone roses

The big news in the music industry at present is the reformation of two giants of 20th century pop. Both bands were icons for their generation but which comeback tour should you buy tickets for…The Stone Roses or Steps?  LMM have taken a little time out to outline the case for each band.

1. Both bands invented  dance crazes. With The Stone Roses it was the “simian stroll” much loved by Manc front men like Liam Gallagher and Tim Burgess and copied by lads everywhere. The Steps gave us the 5,6,7,8 line dance and the Tragedy wedding dance. So Steps are the clear winners here.

2.Both acts appropriated traditional music and made something of their own with it. The Stone Roses took Olde English favourite folk song, “Parsley Sage Rosemary And Tyme” and made it into album filler “Elizabeth My Dear.” The canny Steps looked across to the USA line dance craze and updated the country sound to give us the mighty 5,6,7,8.

3. Both bands have encountered H in a bathroom (probably!)  Steps

4.The Stone Roses struggled to follow up their classic first album and took five years to come up with Second Coming which had mixed reviews and sold below expectations. Steps knocked out Steptacular in a couple of afternoons and it went 4 x platinum spawning a bunch of hit singles.

5. Steps were the most successful touring act of 2000 whereas The Stone Roses were booed off stage at the Reading Festival due to Ian Browns poor vocals which led to the NME saying”I am The Ressurection was more like The Eternal Cruxification.”

6. When H and Claire left the band stating that they felt Steps had reached their artistic peak   Steps split up. When Manni left The Roses they staggered on with a new drummer. Then John Squires left and they drafted in Simply Reds guitarist to knock out a few more dates. Steps win hands down for integrity.

7.Both bands started out on indie labels…….but they both took the wonga and signed to majors.

8. After The Stone Roses John Squires formed the half decent Seahorses and made a so so album. He then retired from public life (we think!) Renni was never seen or heard of again. Manni joined Primal Scream (hurrah!) and Ian Brown has released six solo albums. Steps have made several TV shows including “Steps To The Stars” giving young people the chance to break into show business (this is nothing like the X Factor by the way.) H and Claire signed a £5 million deal with Warners!

9. Steps are playing tons of shows and tickets are flying out. Stone Roses are playing two mega Manchester dates.

10. Only Steps have been brave enough to cover ABBA…not once but twice.

So there you have it. The facts as they stand are above. Now its time to make your mind up….is the Stones Roses reunion “Fools Gold” or a proper Ressurection ? Is The Steps tour a “tragedy” or is it really “steptacular?”
