Was Walkabout your first time?

Was Walkabout your first time?

As thousands of fresher students settle into their routines in towns and cities throughout the UK many of them will be choosing a bar or night club as their home from home for the next three years. Walkabouts or Bar Risas in many major cities will become as familiar to their regular patrons as their front rooms back home and seeing some of the students last week on Live Music Management site visits made me think…..Do you remember your first night club experience?

The names of the clubs changed as the decades went on but the result was the same …a home from home where you could indulge your crazy side, let your hair down and have a great time.

So if you used to drink in Mr Smiths of Warrington, The Leeds Warehouse, Panama Joes in Burnley, Henry Afrikas in Scunthorpe, Josephines in Sheffield, The Limelight in London, Poo Na Na in Lincoln, The Rooftop Gardens in Wakefield, Batley Frontiers or any of the thousands of other drinking holes in the UK we would love to hear from you.

A future blog will feature a list of the crazy names of clubs in the past (and the crazy themes that often went with them) but we would love to hear about the first night club you visited (or indeed was a DJ at.)
