Vintage Weddings
Vintage has been the buzzword in the wedding industry for a few years now growing in popularity from being a niche theme for connoiusers of all things retro to the present day when many weddings have a “vintage” spin. The Diamond Jubilee has fueled this trend with it’s focus on the fashion and life styles of sixty years ago.
Vintage isn’t just a wedding trend though. Vintage Fairs have sprung up throughout the UK and they bring together the love of classic cars and motor bikes, fashion, food, camper vans, glamour and style. Over the Diamond Jubilee weekend Live Music Management spent some time in Norfolk and enjoyed an afternoon at Holkham Hall where the vintage theme was in full swing with a rock n roll band and visits from James Dean and Marilyn Monroe look a likes entertained us as fifties food was served and antique cars displayed.
For the bride and groom considering a vintage theme I would highly recommend attendance at one of these events whether wedding related or not. Apart from the fact that the afternoon was very enjoyable it is inspiring to see so many style ideas in one place and it is sure to help inspire anyone with a plan for a retro wedding.
