Act profile
AC/DC Tribute formed 2 years ago when, by chance, Rich (the drummer) heard his brother in law Gareth singing along to his favourite band, AC/DC. Rich heard potential and suggested that he and Gareth should form a band (for a bit of fun) and asked Rich's son, Matt if he would play bass. That formed the central core of any self-respecting AC/DC tribute and two guitarists were sought. Ewan joined as rhythm guitarist and Tris took on the demanding role of Angus Young. As rehearsals and small gigs progressed, they found themselves gaining a good reputation for what they could do and continued to develop the act, to do justice to the music of AC/DC.
All band members are committed to providing a good show and dutifully work hard to perfect their craft.
We have taken a slightly different approach to the look of the act, where most tributes try to replicate the look of the 70's, we've taken the view that as Brian Johnson has been in the band 4 times longer than Bonn Scott, it is more likely that more people have seen the modern look, but only a comparative few witnessed the old one through. To that aim, our front man looks like Brian Johnson (but also sounds like Bonn Scott), Our Angus Young is a 20 year old who bounces around the stage and recreates the sights and sounds of Young as most people remember him, the Tasmanian devil. The driving force behind these guys keeps a discreet distance at the back, powering the act through hit after hit of AC/DC.
An act that is a break from the usual, but leaves even the most diehard AC/DC fan calling for more!

Testimonials
[Sun 28th Feb 10] Great night attended by my friends and I, non stop AC/DC hits starting with Riff Raff. All the hits kept coming including Bad Boy Boogie [my personal favourite], Highway to Hell, Thunderstruck, You Shook Me All Night Long, Hells Bell ,Rock And Roll Aint Noise Pollution, Back In Black ,Whole Lotta Rosie, Let There Be Rock and many others all ending of course with, for those about to rock [we salute you].The crowd were going nuts and we sensed the band feeding off them, great vocals awesome guitar solos even running through the crowded bar area. There was drama when the bass amp started smoking and caused a slight delay but no one panicked and they finished the song! Please come this way again. - Paul
[Sun 14th Feb 10] Yet another awesome performance by the mighty AC/DC Tribute. Never seen the junction so busy, the crowd were whipped to a frenzy with such hits as Back In Black, Highway To Hell, You Shook Me, Whole Lotta Rosie, Thunderstruck, The Jack and many many more. We all had a great night out, the crowd was up for a good time but good nature and the band rocked their socks off! How the singer is able to talk after is beyond me and had done it all the night before in Padstow! Their Angus was like a possessed rock demon, duck walks abound, dying fly, running through the crowd, just an amazing fun, authentic show. We will definitely be there to watch AC/DC Tribute at the next Plymouth gig ... Soon please x. - SHARON
[Fri 16th Oct 09] What a fantastic night at the strand, with the carnival in full swing outside, AC/DC Tribute , put on an amazing show inside. The guys played so many of my favourite songs, Highway To Hell, Thunderstruck, Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be, Let There Be Rock, Rosie, For Those About To Rock and soooo many more. These guys are so professional it surprises me they play in a pub at all; clearly they belong on a large stage. All said and done a great night, thanks for a brilliant night. This is the best band I have ever seen. If you ever get the chance to watch AC/DC Tribute don't miss them. - A music fan
