Top North East female led pop/rock band with a great range of songs.
The band is proud to say we play totally live - no recorded backing etc.
The band is very strong on vocals having 2 lead singers in Zoe and Steve with excellent harmonies.
A.R Band have been on the circuit for just over 7 years. Two of its original band members still remain. Over the years we have built an enviable reputation and we are proud to be a well established live band on the North east and Northumberland scene. We play music from all eras, ensuring that we are cater for all ages and tastes in our audience. Comments from the feedback we receive show that our repetoire and standard of musicianship are of the highest standards.
A.R Band have performed at many events-our biggest yet was an outdoor Summer Festival in Leazes Park where we played to a crowd of around 18,000.We headlined this event with Ruth Lorenzo, of recent X factor fame. We have played for many functions, both private and corporate including local Marriot, Hilton and Copthorne Hotel groups, Round Table events, Charity concerts and of course weddings/civil partnerships/birthday/anniversary celebrations (including Alnwick castle and Whitworth Hall)
The band all play a variety of instruments and are particularly proud of the 4 way harmonies we work hard to achieve.
After being a dancer since she was 3, Zoe pursued the music theatre route obtaining an HND in music theatre at Newcastle College and has been a professional dancer for almost all of her late teens, early twenties. She joined her first band ‘Vibe’ in 1995 as a backing singer and dancer, then moved on to join Penelope’s Pitstop as a singer, supporting the lead singer Penny. This was her first exposure to working for the Dixon Agency. In the summer of 1998 she went over to Mallorca to join a band called Systa, a trio of girls in the Car Wash club, Magaluf. Her next band wasn’t until 2000 when she joined The Lorraine Crosby band as a singer and dancer, this lifted her voice to another level of strength and depth thanks to the support from Lorraine Crosby. Zoe had to leave the band after falling pregnant with her first son. She then joined The Claire Marshall Experience for a short period of time in 2002. She moved away from the singing to focus on her career as a trainer and had another son. It was a family member who introduced Zoe to the A.R Band, through fate and she is now been the lead singer since March 2011. Her love for music and entertaining is evident every time she is performing and you will see this when you book the band.

Saturday 7th May 2011 Wedding
As far as me and Rik are concerned; you did brilliantly. You were totally professional and did everything we requested, and managed to keep everyone happy and dancing until the early hours. There were very few songs when the dancefloor was not completely full - and the fact that you got both me and Rik dancing is amazing, as we are very rarely spotted on dance floors...
You guys are absolutely fantastic, thank you so much
for a totally kick-ass wedding reception!
More feedback from others at the wedding below
