Bright Sparks are an exciting and dynamic function/party band from Newcastle upon Tyne who have been going down a storm everywhere they’ve played since their conception three years ago. This is simply because, as they put it, ‘we never have a dull moment when on stage’. The most popular and versatile line-up is a six-piece, which features Female Lead Vocals, Keyboards, Guitar, Bass, Drums and Trumpet, including at least three members who double on Male Lead or Backing Vocals for any one gig.

Bright Sparks’ easy handling of their widely varied repertoire has enabled them to play in a number of high profile situations, supporting the likes of ‘GIRLS ALOUD' and ‘LIBERTY X’, for events such as: Weddings (Nationally), Corporate Events (Proctor and Gamble, Northern Rock, Genie UK), Charity Balls (Princes Trust, Rainbow Trust, Holly Ball), Night Clubs (‘Tiger Tiger’ / ‘Mr Lynch’), Casino (Aspers), Cruise Ships (Some of our players have often been called in for comedian ‘Paul Squires’ backing band on P&O etc), Clubs, Pubs, Private Parties, MOD events, Village Balls, University Balls ( in a wide range of venues from hotels to football stadiums.

What’s interesting to know about this highly professional band, besides the fact they have individually and collectively worked throughout the British Isles, Europe and the United States with an array of talented artists including Brian Johnson (ACDC), Tim Healy, Marcus Roberts, Brendan Healy, Denise Welch, Frankie Gibbon of Lindisfarne whilst building up enviable reputations as some of the most talented and reliable musicians in the UK, appearing on TV and Radio, is that they have an average age of just 24!

Whether it is their lively arrangements of classic funk songs or eloquent treatment of great pop tunes from the jazz era, the performance is delivered with an accordingly well-presented band and excellent on stage character to match. Bright Sparks come equipped with high quality 3kw PA system that can comfortable accommodate an audience of 500, stage lighting system and offer a wide range of line up permutations from quartet to nine piece band with additional services including Jazz Quartet, Piano/Guitar/Vocal Duo, DJ, or Recorded Background Music Service for the full entertainment package. Bright Sparks guarantee is to make your event truly exceptional by creating the best atmosphere possible for every member of the audience.

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 5.30pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
