Highlights

Costumed themed sets of Abba, 1970s disco, School Disco, Grease, Blues Brothers, rock 'n' roll, etc.
We have a male and female singer, and 3 of the band sing too, giving a total of 5 singers
We have around 260 songs currently in our repertoire, covering an enormous number of genres.

Act profile

Burn Baby Burn have been playing weddings, corporate functions, festivals, and many other events since 1993.

They play from a huge repertoire of about 260 songs, covering all genres - 1970s disco, 1980s, rock 'n' roll, 1960s soul, Abba, modern indie, easy listening, Grease, James Bond, classic rock, 90s / 00s chart hits, etc.

Line-up

1 - male lead singer
2 - female lead singer
3 - Keyboards / vocals
4 - drummer (not a drum machine!)
5 - lead guitar / vocals
6 - bass guitar / vocals

An extra female singer allows us better costume changes (for example, mid-set changes for Grease, etc) and is also essential for costumed Abba sets.
Sax player - nothing like a sax solo to lift the roof!
Full 3-piece brass section (sax, trombone, trumpet), especially good for 1960s soul and 1970s disco.
Solo cocktail piano, with or without female and male vocal.

Also included

4 x Mackie SRM450 full range very high quality speakers, 1 x Mackie SWA1501 subwoofer, 1 x RCF subwoofer 5 x 300w stage monitors, 24 channel desk with effects, Shure mics, CD player, etc. Lights are two i-colour-4 boxes (total of 4kW).

Location

South East based and will travel to these areas: South East, South West, Midlands, North East, North West, Ireland.

Testimonials

Kevin
A big thank you for Saturday night. The band was fantastic!! Everyone has commented on how great you all were. To get everyone on the dance floor straight away and for them not to stop dancing until the end says something. It normally takes a couple of songs for people to take to the floor but not this time. I saw people who I know never dance, dancing (if you can call it that) all night. I'll definitely be in touch regarding my 40th Birthday party. Please pass on my thanks to the rest of the band.
Claire Belderbos (charity event, 8th November 2008, Harpdenden).

The band went down a storm; we were dancing continuously while they were playing and no-one wanted them to finish – so you were right, I had nothing to worry about! They were terrific and if they are free then, I would consider having them back next year.
Catherine Goodyear (British Osteopathic Association, 15th November 2008, Coventry)

Dear Kevin
It was good to see you again on Saturday, and yes, the evening appeared to go very successfully, and a great time was had by all!! It was fantastic to see so many people get up to dance as soon as you started playing, which only emphasises you got the mood of the guests just right. We have yet to come up with a grand total on exactly how much was raised, but I believe its in the region of £12k, so not bad considering the current economic climate. From Tracy, Kim, as well as myself – Thank You once again for your support, and for making sure the evening's entertainment first class. I'd like to wish you, and the rest of the members of Lost in Music, a very Merry Christmas, and all the best for 2009.
Kind regards
Sue Fenton (Great Ormond Street Hospital charity event, 22/11/08, Witham)

We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. Everybody mentioned how good you were – the music was spot on and created a great atmosphere. I don't think we left the dancefloor all night! Thanks again for helping make our day so special.
Vanessa & Ian (wedding, 16th August 2008, Usk)

Dear Kev and Co
What a brilliant band !!!
Thank you SO much for a fantastic evening, people haven't stopped complimenting you – you went down very well with us country folk! It was a pleasure to meet you all.
Susanne & Mike Thorne (40th birthday, 6/9/08, Oakham)

Hi Kevin
I will absolutely be booking you guys again - thought you guys totally rocked - I will not hesitate to recommend you guys for any future events that we require a band for. Many thanks for helping to make the evening a great success!
Best regards, Rhian Jolley (8/3/08, Pinewood Studios)

The band we booked for our 2008 conference in Portugal was Burn Baby Burn, they were absolutely brilliant, from the very first song to the last they had everybody up dancing, with 4 costume changes the girls certainly kept the party feeling going. If you ever book them for your event please please book the Abba set with them, you will not be disappointed, and we will be booking them again for next year.
Many thanks.
Donna, Bio-Rad Laboratories (Albufeira, Portugal, 4/2/08)

Many thanks, the band were great very professional and the audience appeared to really enjoy: The great thing was that they were also very flexible with our timings and the fact that we were not running to schedule; We will definitely use you again.
Cheers
Steve, Rainbow International (NEC, Birmingham 28/9/07)

Hi Kevin
I'd like to thank you again for your excellent performances during our corporate entertainment trip to Venice last week. This was an extremely important set of clients for the bank, and as the main organiser within Landsbanki, my task (with Award Management's help) was not an easy one, and it was paramount that everything went off well - which I can thankfully say it did.
Sue Fenton (Venice, 2/2/08)

Hi Kevin
Just a quick note to say thank you for your set at Celtic Manor on Tuesday. You were great…..on time, friendly and most of all got the crowd up on their feet dancing before the first song had ended. It was a really great evening and had some excellent feedback from the client about your act. You really got the crowd jumping.
Many Thanks for all your work.
Kind regards
Euan Lampitt (corporate event, Newport, 15/1/08)

Hi Kev, Absolutely FANTASTIC!!!! My friends enjoyed themselves so much, I've had so many messages, I can't thank you enough for making it a fabulous night. Everybody danced which was what I'd wanted.
Bev Crook (40th birthday party, High Wycombe, 21st September 2007)

I have many MANY more of these which I can print out for you.
