Act profile

Formed in 2001 from some of London's top young professional musicians, the band never fails to impress with it's huge range of performance options and repertoire. Scalable from 5 to 13-piece with a huge range of vocalist and brass section options. Think ‘Earth, Wind & Fire’ (without the costumes!) mixed with ‘The Commitments’ and a dash of ‘James Brown’ and ‘Jamiroquai’.

The full authentic soul/funk sound is achieved by utilising a brass section (8-piece upwards) but the band can easily work as a smaller band if required, with brass parts covered by guitar and keyboards. The use of a brass section does not affect the choice of repertoire. They have many studio and live audio tracks recorded both with and without brass section so that you can decide for yourself. A selection of swing repertoire can be incorporated into the band’s sets if required. The band is also happy to take requests from their repertoire list prior to the event.

All of their musicians have an excellent pedigree, with most members having backgrounds in the UK's top music schools; The Guildhall School of Music, The Royal Academy of Music, Trinity College of Music and Leeds College of Music to name a few. Many of their musicians have also been trained in the ranks of The National Youth Jazz Orchestra and now perform regularly in many of the top west end shows. The musicians are also very highly sought after for some of today's most popular recording artists and can be regularly be seen performing with people such as Kylie Minogue, Madness, Duran Duran, Jools Holland, Jamie Cullum, Lilly Allen, Katie Melua, Just Jack, Charlotte Church, Amy Winehouse, Paul McCartney, Will Young, Incognito and The James Taylor Quartet.

Also included

We have 3 possibly PA & lighting combinations. Choice of equipment will depend on size of band, location of event and style of music. All PA equipment used is top quality professional active equipment (usually Mackie, SRM450 or similar), fully PAT tested. Lighting is usually in the form of 2 racks of coloured sound-to-light active spotlights. Additional lighting can be provided on request.

Location

South East based and will travel to these areas: South East, South West, Midlands, North West, Wales, Ireland.

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 5.30pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
