Act profile

Huw is a guitarist and singer who is influenced by soul, swing, and samba. He plays both his own compositions and a wide range of soul, jazz and latin classics. Huw is available for bookings for bars, restaurants, hotels, night clubs, members' clubs, weddings, private parties and corporate functions. He is smart and punctual, with his own transport and amplification system. His equipment is PAT tested, and he has Public Liability Insurance.

Huw performs both as a solo artist and in small groups with amazing musicians like Max Grunhard (Impossible Ark / Quantic), Javier Camilo (Ronnie Scotts / Son de Habana), Roberto Manzin (Victor Hugo / James Brown), Bukky Leo (Black Egypt / Fela Kuti), David Alvarez and Osamu Yano. Huw can play solo, in duos or trios with sax and/or percussion, or with his 4-piece band The Riveras.

Huw performs in London several hundred times a year. As a solo artist he has held residencies at some of the finest venues in town: the Trafalgar Square Hilton, Dogstar in Brixton, Gaucho Hampstead, Number Ten Ladbroke Grove, River Lounge, Eight Members Club, La Gondola in Battersea, the Guoman Hotel Tower Bridge, and Revolution in the city.

He has also played one-off engagements at venues such as Claridge's, Momo's, Hampton Court Palace, the Infinity Club, Sound, Hyatt Regency, Leeds Castle, Park Lane Hilton, the Light Bar and 40:30 [at the top of the Gherkin building]. He has played private art exhibitions for artists like Banksy and corporate events for blue-chip clients such as Microsoft and Eversheds.

With his duos he has held residencies at the Wyndham Grand in Chelsea, the Gold Coast in Brixton, Viva Viva in Crouch End and the Gaucho Grill in Picadilly.With the soul band Spengler he has held residencies at 3rd Base (Brixton Mass), La Gondola and the legendary China White.

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 5.30pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
