Act profile

This act is a professional jazz guitar ensemble inspired by the likes of Sylvain Luc, Bireli Lagrene, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin and Pat Metheny.

The band has been established in July 2009 by guitarists Maciek and Ryszard. Both musicians, who share a passion for acoustic jazz music and intricate Latin rhythms, have decided to bring together their vast influences and offer a unique blend of jazz and world music. Their style appeals not only to jazz audiences and it has been described as 'an exquisite jazz sound with a touch of World rhythms'. They are in the process of recording their first album featuring jazz standards and original pieces. They have been successfully performing a mix of standards and originals with an energy and enthusiasm that is hugely infectious. Some of the venues include Ronnie Scotts, Charlie Wright's, The Ritzy and Jazz After Dark.

Ryszard has been playing guitar for over 15 years. In 2004 he graduated from Karol Szymanowski College Of Music in Katowice, Poland with BaMus in Jazz Guitar. He has been performing in London since 2006 in various jazz and function ensembles. Apart from playing jazz he is also an accomplished player in various styles including flamenco, soul and bossa nova.

Maciek originally born in Poland has been playing guitar for 15 years. After moving to London in 2003 he quickly established himself on the London jazz scene as an up and coming virtuoso on guitar. He is also an accomplished composer and is leading his own originals group which has received excellent reviews. Maciek has worked as a session musician with many internationally known singers, bands and recording studios. He plays to a very high standard in variety of styles including jazz, bossa nova, soul and latin.
