Act profile

Together since Feb 2006, MCE is a five piece band consisting of vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass, and drums. The band has the ability to perform an eclectic number of styles.

Vocals are from Dom, a music degree graduate and has been singing for as long as he can remember, which would explain his powerful, confident delivery and fantastically energetic performance.

Pete, who's working towards a degree in music, provides the bass guitar for Murdoch's. The approach of hir playing is simple and very effective - when it comes to playing in the pocket, he's got it down to an art.

Also a music degree graduate, Robbie is the man on the keys. Surrounded by keyboards, he can recreate the sound of any song with amazing accuracy.

Mike is, surprisingly enough, a music degree graduate. He's also the fleet-fingered guitarist of Murdoch's Crazy Eyes.

Drums are covered by Ben. Although he is the youngest member, his skills behind a drum kit are befitting of a much more experienced player. With great natural ability, he provides the backbone to the band.

PA Equipment - Mackie HD 1521 active speaker tops and TH 18 active sub woofers. 16 channel Allen & Heath desk. Wharfdale foldback monitors. Collection of compressors, gates, and effects units.

Lighting - 8 LED par-cans, a number of uplighters and scanners, hazer, full DMX setup.

Location

South East based and will travel to these areas: South East, South West, Midlands, North East, North West, Wales.

We had a really great party on Saturday 26th , and MCE were indeed AWESOME; cannot praise them highly enough. They had everyone from 15 to 50 on the floor with a great mix of songs; well played and well sung. All our guests have had great things to say about them when passing on their thanks for the party. From an organizational point of view they were a dream to have. They contacted me before the date to reassure me that all was going ahead, turned up in plenty of time exactly when they said they would, cheerful, polite, sorted themselves out with no fuss, great fun to have around, looked good, played the timings that we’d asked.
I’d have them again for sure if we were doing it again and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone wanting a band at a party. I wouldn’t change a thing about them.

Extra Costs

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 5.30pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
