Act profile

We have worked together for over 20 years on many musical projects. Precious Strings was formed in 2006 following a succesful recording project of music arranged specially for this lne up.
We play in many genres including Classical, Jazz, Pop, Theatre, Latin, Tango. Our distinctive line-up allows us to give you the same ambience of the traditional string quartet but the piano allows much greater adapdability and wider repertoire

Line-up

Jo - Professional Violinist, session musician, teacher and frequent member of Southend SPhilharmnic and Festival Orchestras
Lorraine - Professional Violinist, session musician, teacher. Leader of Southend Symphony Orchestra. Also skilled Flautist.
Mick - Composer, arranger and Pianist - specialist in jazz piano and orchestral arraging.

Expanable by adding further violins, violas or cellos if required.
Our set allows us to play for any part of a corporate function.
For weddings we can play for the ceremony, the drinks reception, the wedding breakfast and after. Or any combination of these

Also included

Peavey passive Monitors x 2. Yamaha 300W powered mixer. Behringer 12 Channel Mixer. Hartke 60W Keyboard Amp.
PA not usually required for Weddings

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 5.30pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
