Act profile

Revolution, founded in April 2005 is an outstanding party band with experience of literally thousands of performances. From Weddings to Corporate Events, Holiday Parks to Festivals, Universities to Club nights.

Revolution know that versatility and professionalism are paramount for a fabulous nights entertainment, getting everyone up on their feet, making it a night to remember. The magic of Motown, the Electric 80s, the Disco and Soul sounds of the 70s and the Naughty 90s era of Dance music are re-created with style and energy. Whether you are 18 or 80, Revolution plays popular tracks from the last 5 decades, getting you and your guests involved in the fun. This is not your average party band; the show is full of exciting arrangements powerful vocals and seamless music.

Revolution is available as a 4pc as standard with the option to add or remove live musicians to cater for budget and space requirements along with sequenced lighting and costume changes (where space and budget allows). Revolution is an experienced band, described as true professionals, a bit quirky, and most importantly great fun!

Background/Disco music between live sets is included as standard.

Revolution carries £5 million public liability insurance and all equipment is PAT tested for electrical safety.

Also included

As standard, we use a 7kw Turbosound Concert PA system consisting of 2xTHL2 Tops and 2x TSW718 Bass Bins - producing a fabulous sound and excellent clarity - adequate for up to 500 people. A larger PA can be arranged if required (at additional cost).
A smaller 2kw Mackie System is also available for very small venues or additional to above.
Sennheiser In ear-monitoring. Shure BETA 87 and Shure BETA 58 Radio Mics.
Isolution Icoulour 4 Colour mixers as standard.

Where budget and space allows and the use of haze/smoke is allowed we can supply up to 6000w of DMX programmable intelligent lighting consisting of Isolution Icolour 4 colour mixers, Abstract Revolution Gladiators, Madscans and Mobile Colour Changers mounted on trilite and ladder lite front and rear or stage/stage area and Video Projection for the ultimate full on show.

Location

Midlands based and will travel to these areas: South East, South West, Midlands, North East, North West, Scotland, Wales, Ireland.

“Thank you so much for entertaining us at our wedding on 13th June 2009. I would like to start with a personal thank you from us as we couldn't have asked for a better band for the evening. You were professional with your set-up and your band was able to arrange themselves without any demands. You started the evening with background music, and I remember stepping back at this point and viewing the venue and guests and remembering how it was perfect with the light jazz music and light show. The first song was personally sung by Kelly and was amazing and sounds fantastic on the wedding DVD. You then erupted into your first set and the guests flew onto the dance floor with 60’s/70’s/80’s/90's classics. I remember everyone dancing and singing along for the whole of the first set without noticing how professionally you mix one song into the next! After everyone had warmed up on alcohol, the second set even got people up who are definite 'non-dancers'! This included my neighbours who said that she has never known John to dance since they were married 12 years ago! “We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday 22nd March and we were determined that everyone would have a great time at our party. We searched for a Band that would cater for ages ranging from early 30's upwards and one which we felt would create a real party atmosphere. We found Revolution and boy did they exceed our expectations. Right from their first song to the end of the party they had our guests up and dancing - not once was the dance floor empty.
Their ability to deliver a range of songs from the sixties and through the decades was outstanding and they made it so much fun. Their portfolio of songs catered for everyone and to be honest in the end it did not matter if you were a 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's person you just wanted to join in.
They did a clever thing for us and that was at the end of the first set they left us with "disco" music until they came back on - this worked extremely well and meant that I did not have the hassle of sourcing a disco as well as a band. They also provided some background music whilst we had dinner.
A very professional team, great fun, very reliable and enjoyed by all - I rather hope we can find another excuse for a party - Revolution will be there.”

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 5.30pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
