Act profile

Skyblue Jazz and Swing are a relaxed, easy listening, jazz quintet comprising of female vocalist and rhythm section of piano, guitar, bass and drums. We have a wide repertoire which covers swing, blues, latin, genres and includes renditions of the greats from the 20’s up to the more "modern" and famous standards of the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s. Whatever the era, the band specialise in playing popular melodic tunes that are all time favourites.

The band are devoted to their music and met several years ago whilst studying jazz at Goldsmiths University of London. The band delivers professional vocals backed by a strong rhythm section and would appeal to the mature audience or those who require a more relaxed lounge jazz event. With a noise level that does not inhibit your guests’ conversation the band can provide background music during a reception or meal. We are definitely not a pop group. The band can dress formally or informally to suit the occasion.

I have seen this band on a number of occasions and think they're great.

This band has performed at our club on two separate occasions over the last six months. The first, was to provide background music whilst members and guests enjoyed a summer barbecue and the second, a more formal evening of jazz, swing and bossa nova standards. Each occasion has proven to be a huge success and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
They are all dedicated musicians who clearly love what they do and have demonstrated flexibility and professionalism in each performance they have been requested to deliver for our members. As a result we hope it will be possible to negotiate more regular events in the future

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 5.30pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
