Act profile

Professional, energetic and above all exceptionally talented Soul Dedication has what it takes to really get the crowd going.

Soul Dedication consists of 5 leading talents to have emerged from the Manchester circuit in recent years. All aged between 21 and 24 they have developed an exciting and broad repertoire that draws from modern influences such as Corinne Bailey Rae, The Noisettes and Basement Jaxx as well as legends like Aretha Franklin and Dusty Springfield.

Members include:

Clarissa - Lead Vocals

Brought up listening to jazz and gospel from an early age her passion for singing and exceptional talent lead Clarissa to becoming a resident with Manchester University Jazz Orchestra. Since then she has gone on to perform through the UK and Europe, notably with Riot Jazz on the main stage at the Soundwave Festival in Croatia. Currently working alongside many of Manchester's finest producers she is soon to release her first E.P.

John - Saxophone

John made his name as the lead saxophonist of Manchester University Jazz Orchestra. During that time John also managed the band leading them to incredible sell out concerts to crowds of up to 600 in and around the North West. Influenced by many of the great jazz and funk players such as Maceo Parker and Kenny Garrett his soulful style and roaring solos are a must see at any gig.

Brad - Guitar

Brad emerged as a leading talent of the Royal Northern College of Music's session musicians’ course. During his time there he studied under Johnny Hayes and has become in high demand gigging throughout the North West and beyond. Having now graduated from the RNCM he now continues his study at Leeds College of Music.

Paul - Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals

Prior to his attendance at the Royal Northern College of Music Paul worked as a professional sound engineer throughout the UK. He has since graduated from the RNCM and continues his study at Leeds College of Music. Paul's exceptional musical feel and application of harmony are integral to the band’s sound and will never cease to amaze.

Leon - Drums & Percussion

Leon's talent was recognised early in life seeing his inclusion in the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Wales. Known for his creative and technically outstanding playing Leon has an energy in his performance that is seldom matched. He is currently studying at the RNCM under the intimable session drummer Bryan Hargreaves.

5-piece band including female vocalist, saxophone, guitar (or piano), bass player, drums.

The diverse professional experience of the band means we can also perform as a jazz ensemble, perfect for your drinks reception or meal.

Also included

The band provides it own PA and lighting for the stage area suitable for most occasions of up to 200 people. PA hire is required for larger venues.

Location

North West based and will travel to these areas: Midlands, North East, North West, Scotland, Ireland.

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 5.30pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
