Act profile

The Hoops are probably the best band on the London covers scene and since their inception have taken the Capital by storm, being in demand by all the top live music venues. Their incredible front girl has been wowing audiences with her impressive and versatile vocals, which allow the band to pull off a huge range of songs that others might avoid.

Guaranteed to deliver floor-filling, sing-along anthems from start to finish, they'll always leave the crowd wanting more. So much more than your average cover band, they’ll make each song their own, mixing classic rock and indie anthems with the best new music and throw in some unexpected foot stompers, reworked with a ‘Hoops’ twist. Always 100% live, no backing tracks, no gimmicks, just pure unadulterated rock and roll!

All band members are professional musicians and have worked with artists, bands and members of bands as diverse as Sir Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Amy Winehouse, The Pretenders, Kula Shaker, Stevie Nicks, Kylie Minogue, La Roux, Seal, Aha, Ian Dury, Wilko Johnson, Kool and the Gang, Meredith Brooks and Del Casher.

The Hoops can turn their hands to a great variety of different genres and styles and always pull it off with great fun and authority. They aim to tailor make their sets to suit clients own personal needs and preferences and can learn specific songs for your special occasion should you so wish.

Anything goes, nothing is sacred, as long as it feels good and makes you wanna dance!

In 2013 The Hoops were chosen to star in a major viral advertising campaign for Benefit Cosmetics in which people who answered a ringing pink telephone were taken for a make over and performed live with the band in the Café De Paris. Within days of going online the video had racked up almost 100,000 views (and counting!)

They were also chosen for Haven Holiday parks advert and performed live in the advert and are to be featured in the 2014 brochure.

They can also offer the same level of entertainment as a singer/guitarist duo, acoustic or with playbacks.

Line-up

TALIA: Vocals, our fantastic vocalist and the best front to the band we could ever wish for. She was born to sing, dance and rock and owns every song we do.
ROBERT: Guitar, Backing Vocals, one of the best players out there. Sometimes you think there are three of him playing. No keyboards needed in our band.
TOM: Drums, our very own rhythm king and relentless groove machine.
DOMINIC: Bass, our foundation and resident bass monster.

Additional keyboardist can be added, although this will increase overall costs.
Can provide a jazz/lounge or acoustic pre-dinner set if required.
Available as a singer/guitarist duo.

Also included

Peavey 600 Watts per side PA, 2X15 inch cabs with horns.
T-Bar with 2 lights plus various DJ lights on the floor.

Location

South East based and will travel to these areas: South East, South West, Midlands, North East, North West, Wales.

The Hoops played a friends 30th Birthday Party last Saturday, a great time was had by all.

I've seen them a few times around London last year and they are awesome, really good fun and tons of energy.

This band absolutely MADE our wedding day! fantastic! Our wedding was in February 2012 and our friends are still talking about them and asking us who our band was. at the start we pointed out the tune we wanted for our first dance (Iris by the goo goo dolls) and the hoops practised it and they performed it on the day.....amazing!!!!!! Also wanted to say in feedback we had the Hoops here on saturday, they were superb since ive been here easily he best we have had!! On Saturday I couldnt fault the hoops and i even tried to find a fault with them .Proper professional as well came set up kept their bags and flight cases in their van so stage and backstage was clear no wires on stage until they went on briliant, can they come back alot next year.

Just wanted to drop you a quick email to say how much we enjoyed having the Hoops play at our wedding on the 23rd Sept this year. They were absolutely fantastic and all of our guests had a great night with the Hoops being the highlight!! They even went to effort of learning a few extra songs for us and our parents.

Thank you so much guys! I hope you realise you were an absolute smash, people have been telling us all day how good the band was. We just tell them we already knew that :) But you were great, excellent vibe, friendly with the guests, awesome sound, as good as we could have hoped for. We're especially grateful to Rob for his patience and thoroughness in getting the mix just right for our first dance, and to you all for dynamite performances of Eloise and Just Like Heaven, I really enjoyed dancing like a lunatic with Mary to Eloise even if I nearly killed myself. A great version of a great song and one of my highlights of the night. Unfortunately we actually missed your performance of Rihannica because we were saying goodbye to people, but we heard it was brilliant!
We had a wonderful day and you topped it off wonderfully, we're really grateful.

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to the Hoops who played at our wedding party on Friday 5th August 2011.
They were absolutely amazing and we have had no end of comments from our guests who were all really impressed with the band and the choice of songs. The dance floor was full all night and the party just wouldn’t have been the same without the band, we are so grateful to them.
Ending the night with Green Day “Time of your life” was just brilliant! We particularly loved the Enter Sandman/Only girl in the world mix and seeing Mark’s 85 year old Nan dancing to it was class!

Hi Rick,

I just wanted to let you know how fantastic The Hoops were at our wedding on the 21st of May. They were so professional and easy to work with. They turned up at the venue and were set up in the blink of an eye. The dance floor was full all night and when the security guards cut the night a little short everyone was still asking for more. An amazing band with a brilliant repertoire that was loved by all my guests as much as it was by me. A really tight and great sounding band, I would recommend them to absolutely anyone. Wonderful.

Wedding 28th May 2011
have just got back from honeymoon and wanted to write and say how fantastic the band were. So many people said how good you were (just like we did when we heard you at Harry Sharpe's wedding!) and you could tell everyone loved dancing to the band as they only got drinks when the ipod was on! James and I also noticed the songs we'd requested so thank you for that as well. The first dance song was perfect as well.
Can't thank you enough - I think having a great band always makes a wedding great. Glad you had a good time.

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 6pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
