We had a plan?
The original idea was simple. Create a hugely entertaining function party band that performs classic party music and is ultimately a lot of fun. 15 years after first conception and The Present has the same core team of seasoned professionals, developed an unrivalled sound, performed with some of the biggest names in the music business and fundamentally still have an absolute love for what they do.

Who are The Present?
The Present is not just another boring old function band, they have an energy on-stage second to none, an ever increasing repertoire (500 songs & growing), 4 amazing lead vocalists and the bands focus on entertaining make for a live performance of truly world class proportions. Many events are from recommendations and The Present pride themselves on being one of the busiest bands in the country. The band regularly perform 3-4 nights a week all over the U.K. & Europe supporting named artists or entertaining clients at many prestigious private & corporate events including functions for Barclays Bank, London Stock Exchange, Sky, Tescos PLC, BP, Abbey National, World Scout Association & the BBC.

Along the way The Present has performed Flying Without Wings with Westlife, Let Me Entertain You with Robbie Williams, The Look Of Love with ABC and played Boogie Woogie with Jools Holland to name but a few. They have also performed at many of Europe's top venues including Earls Court, Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham N.E.C. and the world famous Wembley Arena. The Present's reputation recently enabled them to perform in front of Prince William & 48,000 Scouts rom over 120 different countries at the 21st World Scout Jamboree. The Present share lead & backing vocals during any event giving them the ability to choose the right singer for the right song, ultimately re-creating the original versions closer than any other act around. The Present is available with different size line ups to suit you, your function and your budget and they work as an 8 piece right down to 3 piece party band. The most popular line up is the 4 piece band consisting of 4 lead vocalists, guitar, bass, drums and keyboards although for that extra WOW factor why not augment the band by female vocals & a 3 piece brass section including Trombone, Trumpet & Saxophone. Our Line-ups are very flexible so If the line up you require isn't listed then please contact us to discuss your requirements.

* Professionally mixed recorded music is available throughout the breaks or why not hire an additional DJ and benefit from 30,000 classic and current hits.
* Varied & extensive experience of all types of corporate & private functions all over the world.
* Become the star for the night and augment your evening with a set of bandeoke (karaoke with a live band)
* You can leave us to make any technical or logical arrangements with your venue.
* The Present can provide everything you need for your evening entertainment and use a state of the art PA system delivering a crisp clear sound at a level to suit you & your guests.
* The Present's intelligent moving light system creates a fantastic atmosphere on stage and on the dance floor with additional lighting available from Monitor Lighting, we've got it covered.

A full QSC powered 6k pa system, with an intelligent lighting system, kam power bars x 2, led par cans x 6. 4 x martin scanners. This is also includes all the usual leads and stands and three mackie sm450 as monitors.

South East based and will travel to these areas: South East, South West, Midlands.

Great band guys

Watched the Presents singer hosting the Rockaoke at Temple Walkabouts VIP opening. He started the set singing Journeys "Don't Stop Believing" and blew us all away...what a great voice...this band will not dissapoint you.

This was The Present doing bandeoke & covers & providing sound system & with singer, Baggy DJing for UK TV (inc Dave Channel) Xmas Party in Euston, Dec 2010 for Momentum Events (Fiona Sutton).

Please pass on our thanks to the band - we didn't actually see them leave. They were fantastic and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the band looked like they were having fun too!

Now we are back home and back to reality I wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you so much for providing an amazing evening of music at our wedding.
 
Matt was happily indulged with the Muse track and I would like to thank you for your patience when it came to me throwing the boquet, all 3 times! I drank a little more than I intended, as I'm sure you realised as I introduced myself to you when unpacking your van, but this didn't stop me having an amazing night, helped hugley by you guys.

It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves on the dance floor and letting go of any inhibitions they had. We had many comments from friends and family about what a great band you are and would like to pass on their thanks too.
 
The support you provided in responding to my many questions along the way was also greatly appreciated as it helped take away planning stress

We would just like to say a huge THANK YOU to you all for a fantastic evenings live music, far better than any disco!!! Just what we asked for, Fun & funky with no Abba.

The Present were superb, we had a great night and our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves commenting on how good the band were. Lots of dancing from young and old, some we were not too sure if they should have but at least they enjoyed themselves.

Thank you also for accompanying us for our first dance, we loved every minute of it even though we forgot the moves :o)
 
We would recommend The Present to anyone. The Manager of the Hotel was impressed with the guys and has requested that we forward on details of website & email to him should they have need of or to recommend a live band.

Hi Baggy

Just a quick message to thank you and the guys for a fantastic evenings entertainment for mine and Sarah's wedding at Parklands. You really created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the evening and kept everybody up and dancing right to the very end. I reckon you could have played 'Sex on Fire' 20 times and still people wouldn't have minded!!

And it was great that you got to play with Will Martin for a few songs. Neither Sarah or I had a clue what my brother had planned, but I understand that between yourselves, my brother Glenn and James at Parklands, you hadit sorted. It really was quality!

Thanks again guys, and should we ever need entertainment again or feel the need to recommend anyone to friends and family, then we would have no hesitation in naming you guys top of out list.

Extra Costs

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 6pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
