Act profile

The U2 Tribute Band were formed at the end of 2005 and spent the first 6 months in rehearsals getting things right. Every one in the band agrees that, "If we are going to do this, from a musical point of view, it makes sense that we get it as accurate as possible, and that's exactly what we pride ourselves in".

Like most bands, this one started out with a different name and line up. But in our pursuit of perfection our current line up consists of Joel who joined, Bill, Gerry and Lloyd to form Stay U2, - who were finally renamed to become 'The Unforgettable Fire'.

Line-up

Joel (as Bono) - has been on the scene for nearly 20 years. He has played in bands that cover electronic synth, to acid jazz, folk rock and more. He has a great singing voice and also plays acoustic guitar. Joel gained a degree in music technology from Nottingham University in 2004.

Gerry (as The Edge) - Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Gerry has over 25years experience playing lead guitar. He was particularly inspired by The Edge's performance on Live Aid back in 1985.

1. Unless the client/venue insists on supplying an engineer with a PA system we always travel with our own engineer, which is included in our fee's.
2. As we all have full time jobs, we will require plenty of notice for any week day gigs so that we can book the time of work.

Also included

We have access to 1 - 5K PA and lighting system.

Location

Midlands based and will travel to these areas: South East, South West, Midlands, North East, North West, Scotland, Wales, Ireland.

Repertoire

Any U2 song but generally, a 2 hour +, repertoire of U2's best loved songs spanning their entire career.

Our set list changes from gig to gig but we are happy to accommodate the client with their own U2 song choice. (As long as they give us plenty of notice)

Extra Costs

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 5.30pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
