Act profile

Formed in 2001, Velvet Monkey have performed at 100's of weddings and birthday parties, as well as high-end corporate events - clients include: Strutt and Parker, Barclay Simpson, Aviva Investors.As featured on the ITV hit programme "For Better Or For Worse."

The four-piece band consists of singer/keyboard's, guitar/ backing vocals, bass/backing vocals and drums. We have an extensive and varied song list - with popular tracks from the 60's right up to current chart hits. We play live music for up to 3 hours and can provide music between sets. Appealing to all ages, we never fail to fill the dance floor.

Velvet Monkey are totally reliable, punctual and smartly dressed. The band is fully self-contained, providing top quality equipment including PA system and lighting rig, which has all been PAT tested and therefore can be used in any venue. Velvet Monkey also come with current Public Indemnity Insurance should you venue require this.

Although based in South-East London, the band travel all over the UK and will always strive to make your event special and give you a show you will never forget!

Q: How long do the band play for?
A: Usually either two 90min sets or three 60min sets for your event. In addition, we can provide music of your choice in between and before/after the bands sets.

Q: Can you play requests?
A: We can learn new songs, particular 'first songs' for weddings. Ideally we will need a couple of weeks notice to rehearse.

We have a full 1000watt PA System plus full back-line, which has all been PAT (testing portable appliance tested) tested and approved. We also have a full colour lighting rig, which helps brighten up the stage.

Extra Costs

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 6pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
